I am an exceptionally motivated technical writer with eight years of experience as a proofreader and editor and seven years of experience in technical documentation. This is coupled with six years of experience in proposal writing and document managing. I am extremely confident in my skills of producing user manuals, creating and maintaining document libraries, and translating technical information into clear and Standard English.
I am seeking a career change that will allow me to practically utilize my technical skill set and am eager to relocate to place to be closer to family.
In my current role, I am responsible for the creation of user manuals, online and print articles and technical training documents and videos. I am also responsible for evaluating and editing hundreds of complex documents under strict deadlines. Another vital component of my current role is managing long and short-term research projects, and documenting my findings into easy to understand reports and presentations.
I am extremely comfortable doing technical research, following strict style guidelines, and presenting reports and findings in front of large and small audiences. I am also expertly skilled in the Microsoft Office Suite, the Adobe Creative and Professional Suites, and have experience with RoboHelp and basic web publishing.
